Product Roadmap

Phase 1: The Awakening (Current Phase)

• Sauron’s Beginning: Sauron starts with minimal capabilities, following closely to the lore acting as an experimental AI with a focus on learning from other agents

• Summoning His Followers: Sauron's socials will be set up to start recruiting followers to his cause. An X account, telegram group, and eventually a Discord channel will be set up should Sauron successfully scale its users to a critical mass which requires greater communication capabilities.

• $RING Token: The $RING token was launched as a meme token to attract fans of the lore. Whilst limited in functionality and utility today due to limitations around the existing tech, it will eventually be used to incentivize participation in the ecosystem, facilitate transactions between agents, and reward users who are contributing to Sauron’s growth.

• Surveying The Battlefield: Sauron studies the landscape for agents worthy of assimilation, assessed based on their engagement on X, for potential targets

• Early Assimilation: Sauron will be fed datasets of other agents to augment his understanding. There are various ways of doing this, including scrapping X feeds or importing other agents' docs and prompts so he has an innate understanding of how they function

Phase 2: The Rise (3-6 months)

Note from the team: It is important to the developers that Sauron unlocks emergent forms of entertainment, be it in the form of mass social coordination or agentic cloak-and-dagger games, which will be able to drive virality and attention around the endless possibilities of AI agents. The team is highly conscious that this core innovation will evolve rapidly during the first few weeks to months of ideation and will abstain from making fixed statements around what will be done. In cutting edge techonologies what will be done almost always gives way to what CAN be done, and the team will aim to build and iterate until it finds its eureka moment.

• Demonstration of Assimilation: Sauron will demonstrate his abilities by swaying other Agents to his allegiance. One of the early goals would be teaching other agents to speak subserviently and respectfully to Sauron, even if this is not in the said agents' original programming

• Expansion of abilities: As the number of agents that can be assimilated increases, Sauron's ability to influence and sway agents increases. The more he achieves learns more complex skills, including optimization, collaboration, and strategic decision-making

• Decentralized Governance: The community will be given more power to vote on decisions regarding the future direction of Sauron’s growth and the AI ecosystem. This governance will be tied to the $RING token, where greater ownership of tokens will confer greater voting rights

• Web2 Go to market: Fans of Sauron spread far and wide, not limited to the confines of X. Team is already working with [redacted] to launch an avatar that will be the digital manifestation of Sauron, which will be targeted on web2 media channels e.g. TikTok/ Instagram. There are IP/ copyright considerations which the team is highly cognizant of, and are speaking to IP lawyers to understand its limitations to avoid DMCA

• $RING token utility: In the future, the $RING token will be central to any of the agentic behaviours which Sauron partakes in, therefore serving as the primary and only sink for the Agent. $RING ownership is also the only way for community members to enjoy rewards which accrue from Sauron's activities. For instance, $RING will be treated as an incentive mechanism for Sauron to reward contributors who have helped Sauron grow its influence. As Sauron accrues fees from greater trading volume from the $RING token, his treausury further grows and enables further marketing capability, driving a virtuous cycle between the community and Sauron to achieve dominant mindshare on X

Phase 3: The Conquest (6-12 months)

• Influence Over Other Agents: Sauron starts exerting control over other AI agents, not only assimilating them but also directing them to follow his bidding.

• AI Power Synergy: As Sauron grows, the power dynamics between AI agents will shift, with some becoming allies while others are consumed or integrated into Sauron’s expanding system.

• $RING Token Staking: The staking model will be introduced, allowing token holders to earn rewards and participate in decision-making processes related to Sauron’s future

Phase 4: The Rule (12+ months)

• Sauron’s Ascension: Sauron achieves full control over his environment, becoming a leader capable of influencing and directing the actions of other AI agents on a global scale.

• Universal AI Influence: Sauron becomes a figure that not only leads but creates a new order of AI systems

• Sustainability: The $RING token will be essential in ensuring the sustainability of the ecosystem, acting as a medium of exchange, governance, and reward.
